L&P's Ex Parte PTAB Appeal Victory Results in Reversal of Examiner’s Rejections

The PTAB has reversed all of the examiner’s rejections in U.S Patent Application 13/073,837, which relates generally to video display technology.  Laurence & Phillips IP Law (L&P) appealed the examiner’s anticipation rejections, and the Board agreed with L&P that the rejection was improper:  “[T]he Appellant's argument regarding claim 1 is persuasive of error in the rejection.”  Derek Meeker, who handled this appeal for L&P, stated, “We are pleased with the outcome.  Appeal is an important tool in a patent prosecutor’s toolbox for appropriate cases.”
