USPTO Orders Reexamination as Requested by L&P

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) today ordered ex parte reexamination of U.S. Patent No. 8,786,133 owned by CyboEngery, Inc.  The reexamination request was filed by Laurence & Phillips IP Law (L&P) on behalf of its client Northern Electric Power Technology Inc., which has been in multiple litigations with CyboEnergy regarding the ’133 Patent, which concerns power inverter technology for use with solar power systems.  Today’s order accepted every substantial new question of patentability (SNQP) included in L&P’s reexamination request.  The request was prepared and filed by L&P partner Matt Phillips.
