L&P Files Additional Broadening Reissues in 2017

L&P lawyer Matt Phillips filed four reissue applications in 2017.  Over the last ten years, L&P lawyers have filed and prosecuted dozens of reissue applications and developed a deep expertise in the many esoteric aspects of reissues.  L&P founder Kevin Laurence explained, “This is a golden age for reissue.  Case law over the last few years has approved hedge claims, brought clarity to and relaxation of the recapture rule, and endorsed broadening continuation reissues beyond the usual two-year limit.  Furthermore, having reissue applications examined by knowledgeable examiners in the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU) has brought efficiency to reissue prosecution, enabling shorter pendencies and prompter allowances.”
